Making its debut at Dubai Design Week in 2017 was the Super Design Market. Supported by House of Folly, it placed a pop-up concept retail space at the heart of d3 for the six days of the design week. Featuring a carefully blended range of international and local brands, the store allowed visitors to browse and purchase high-quality design products, for gifts, homeware or simply as a souvenir from Dubai Design Week 2017.
Brands featured in the Super Design Market had little or no retail presence elsewhere Dubai, so by bringing them together in a high profile space within d3 (building 7) the Super Design Market provided a truly unique retail experience for the city.
The concept store was been designed by Dubai-based creative agency Mobilsofa and featured a range of international brands including Alessi, Brand Inc, Consept, iBride, OMY Design, Pallavi Dean, PB0110, SAUCE*, Tashkeel and Vitra.
The Alessi circus collection by Marcel Wanders showcases a family of objects which capture the color and excitement found under the big top. The iconic Dutch designer has added a sprinkle of magic to the series of tableware and household accessories, each one representing a circus character; ‘the jester’, ‘the strongman’, ‘the ballerina’, ‘the ringleader’ and ‘the candyman.Find out more
