Dubai Design Week is held under the dedicated patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture and Arts Authority (Dubai Culture).
The region’s most important platform for regional design and creativity, as well as an active catalyst for the growth of the creative community in the UAE, Dubai Design Week is an annual week-long festival celebrating design and creativity in the UAE and beyond through an extensive programme of free-to-attend exhibitions, pop-ups and installations, alongside engaging activities, talks and workshops, accessible for visitors at all levels, staged at the festival’s main hub in Dubai Design District (d3) and around the city.
Key components of the Week include Downtown Design, the region’s leading fair for high-quality and original design; MENA Grad Show, an exhibition of impact innovation projects from students studying in universities across the Middle East and North Africa region (MENA); and Abwab, the annually re-modelled platform for creative talent from the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia.
Dubai Design Week is owned and managed by the Art Dubai Group, staged in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), and supported by Dubai Culture & Arts Authority and A.R.M. Holding.
Dubai Design Week 2021 welcomed visitors to its most extensive line-up of workshops, exhibitions, installations and activations to date.
The festival staged a range of exhibitions and engaging programming, including the 2040: d3 Architecture Exhibition, MENA Grad Show and AlUla Design.
Visitors to the festival were invited to explore immersive installations and creative spaces in and around Dubai Design District (d3) and across Downtown Design.
The festival invited visitors to discover a wide range of creative and engaging activities, from exclusive talks to pop-ups and workshops.
The Dubai Design Week Marketplace returned to Dubai Design District (d3) with more than 70 local artisans, creatives, and small business as well as unique food offerings.
