Global Grad Show

The largest ever student gathering, representing 75 of the world’s best design schools, from 40 countries on 6 continents.

Global Grad Show is an exhibition of groundbreaking works from the world’s leading design schools, held each year as part of Dubai Design Week. Since launching in 2015, the show has grown to become the world’s largest student gathering, and for its 2017 edition will present over 200 graduate projects grouped under the themes of Connect, Empower and Sustain.

2016 Projects

Global Grad Show is an annual exhibition of groundbreaking projects from design schools around the world. Launched in 2015 as a part of Dubai Design Week, the second edition of Global Grad Show was composed of 145 projects from 50 leading universities, selected by the award-winning curator Brendan McGetrick. Rather than sectioning them off in school-specific zones, at Global Grad Show the works are mixed together and organised according to what a project does, rather than what it is. Exhibits in the Empower section offered new ways to spark ideas and expand abilities. The Connection section was concerned with encouraging exchange and building community. Sustain was a survey of innovative approaches to reducing waste and generating energy.
