The UAE designer and maker communities are an amalgam of creatives from different cultural backgrounds all residing and producing work locally, contributing to building a diverse local creative scene.

With the aim of providing a platform for the local creative community, the UAE Designer Exhibition primarily presents emerging talents and young practitioners with opportunities to break into the region’s market to launch new works, gain visibility, face audience feedback for further development and generate potential commercial leads and avenues for collaborations.

A showcase of established and emerging multi-disciplinary UAE talent - the curated exhibition offers creatives a platform for visibility among leading designers from around the globe, whilst expanding and strengthening their audience and professional network. This year curated by Fatma Mohammad Al Mahmoud, an active member of the UAE creative community, her unique approach focuses on introducing cultural aspects through different forms of design.

Designers, makers, artisans and independent design studios from different levels of expertise and career stage will present ideas and proposals, this year under the theme of "Future Living Spaces" and are encouraged to look beyond the traditional design process and consider their work’s broader social and environmental impacts. This includes using materials and resources that are environmentally responsible, promoting local production and sourcing, and designing for longevity and adaptability.
