Staged in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), Dubai Design Week is a week-long festival for design and creativity that each year provides an international platform for designers from across the region and acts as a catalyst for the growth of Dubai’s creative community. Coinciding with the highly anticipated Expo 2020 Dubai, the 7th edition of Dubai Design will focus on the creative talent in the UAE and sustainability through regenerative and circular design.

Headline events and curated programmes include the Middle East’s leading design fair, Downtown Design, returning to its home on the d3 Waterfront this year, alongside Downtown Editions, the fair’s boutique showcase for limited-edition and bespoke design. Global Grad Show, will present the best 100 student innovation projects from over 300 universities in 65 countries and the MENA Grad Show will again celebrate academic talent from the region. The multiple exhibition programme will be led by the UAE Designer Exhibition that offers a centre stage to an upcoming generation of UAE-based designers, and Abwab, which this year is seeking designs for a pavilion that evolves around regenerative architecture, will lead the installation programme. Throughout the week there will be an extensive agenda of live programming in the form of talks, workshops, masterclasses and the weekend programme will see the return of the Marketplace along with kids activities and F&B activations for all the family.

The festival’s line-up of experiences and activations are free to attend and organisations, companies and creatives are invited to take part by demonstrating their expertise, project or innovations; collectively staging activations across the city and at the festival’s main hub in Dubai Design District (d3).
