Dubai Design Week and its associated events are always looking for driven design enthusiasts and professionals to join our growing team based in Dubai, UAE.
Internships give participants an introduction and overview of Dubai Design Week. Each participate will engage in their selected departments, developing skills that relate to the overall planning of the event. Internships are aimed at students, recent graduates, or those who have experience in other fields and are looking to gain experience and insight into the planning and operations of Dubai Design Week.
Department areas include:
Live Events (Talks, Workshops)
Project Coordination (Exhibitions, Installations, Pop-ups)
Communications (Marketing, PR, Social Media)

The Volunteer Programme invites design enthusiasts to get involved in all aspects of the event and experience its programmes first-hand. Our dedicated volunteers serve as the ambassadors of Dubai Design Week and play a vital role in ensuring the successful execution of the event. On-site volunteers are given capacity building opportunities that involve working with pop-ups, installations, manning welcome desks, interacting with guests and audiences, providing information to visitors and other specialised tasks within different programmes and areas.
The volunteer programme takes place during the event from 13 - 18 November. Applications will open in September 2017.
Dubai Design Week is seeking passionate, energetic, punctual, customer oriented interns to contribute to the successful organization of the student educational tours. Through direct supervision by the project head and Student Tour Coordinator, the tour guide will offer commentary and enlightening information to school and university students as well as faculty members which will allow them to fully experience and enjoy the exhibitions.
The candidate’s main responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Guide students and educators through the exhibitions and design projects
- Compile and distribute collateral material
The candidate will have direct communication with school and university educators as well as the Student Tours Coordinator. Flexibility in juggling tasks is essential. Speaking Arabic is welcome but not obligatory.
