A contemplative pavilion that traces the fleeting journey of life through light, sand and silence.

Traces of Musafir is a pavilion that draws inspiration from the idea of the musafir— a traveller, or temporary guest, in this world. Conceived as a circular, earth-like structure, it invites visitors to reflect on the impermanence of existence and the subtle marks each person leaves behind.

The installation is formed by organic pathways with two entry points, mirroring the unpredictability and choices encountered in life. As visitors move along a sandy path, their footprints appear only to be gradually erased, evoking the transient nature of memory and human presence.

Through the interplay of material, form and experience, Traces of Musafir becomes more than an installation; it is an invitation to engage with questions of belonging, spirituality and continuity. It challenges the audience to consider what remains of the traces we leave behind, both physical and intangible.
