Jaeger-LeCoultre x Abdalla Almulla x Olivecoat x Nina Métayer
Celebrating the Reverso through comics, architecture, art and culinary design.
Dedicated to one of the most recognisable and enduring timepieces in watchmaking, the pop-up experience explores the evolution of the Reverso through a lens of artistry and precision. Created in 1931, the Reverso has become a symbol of ingenuity and precision. The pop-up traces its origins across four thematic chapters that is brought to life through a series of engaging and interactive experiences that merge design, art, comics, masterclasses and gastronomy.
For the first time in Dubai, Jaeger-LeCoultre unites three artists under one roof, each interpreting the spirit of the Reverso through their own discipline.
Award-winning Emirati architect Abdalla Almulla unveils 30 Sunsets, a striking art installation created exclusively for Jaeger-LeCoultre. Inspired by the golden ratio – a mathematical principle at the heart of the Reverso’s design, Almulla’s work transforms proportion and geometry into an immersive architectural experience.
Webcomic artist Olivecoat presents the story of the Reverso’s birth as the world’s first sports watch, expressed through her distinctive comic style and interactive workshops that invite guests to explore the narrative in new and imaginative ways.
Completing the journey, celebrated pastry chef Nina Métayer curates a quartet of pastries for the 1931 Café, each one a contemporary interpretation of the golden ratio. Drawing inspiration from the Vallée de Joux, the birthplace of Jaeger-LeCoultre, her creations echo the harmony, balance and refinement that define both fine watchmaking and haute pâtisserie, offering visitors a multi-sensory celebration of design.
