A rug collection translating the elegance of Parisian ceilings into woven form.

In its first collaboration with a European designer, Art de Vivre presents Modern History by Pierre Gonalons, a collection that reinterprets the grandeur of Parisian architecture through textile craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from the painted ceilings of 17th-century palaces, Gonalons explores how the refinement of these historic interiors can be experienced in a new, tactile dimension.

The rugs mirror the geometry and framing of coffered ceilings, transforming architectural motifs into woven patterns that define and structure interior spaces. Each piece reflects the balance between art, design, and tradition, encapsulating both the creative vision of Gonalons and Art de Vivre’s dedication to preserving the hand-woven craft in a contemporary context.
