A contemporary reinterpretation of the 1974 Italian design icon Le Farfalle to celebrate fifty-one years of heritage and innovation.

Signed by renowned industrial designer Folco Orlandini, Farfalla was a contemporary restyling of Le Farfalle, the historic armchair originally designed in 1974 by Roberto Lucci and Paolo Orlandini. This renewed edition embodied the perfect balance between memory and innovation. Offered in a curated selection of Kvadrat fabrics, Farfalla preserved the visual lightness, expressive gesture and distinctive character of the original design while introducing refined details suited to a new generation of living spaces.

Accompanied by a unique rug from Moooi Carpets’ latest collection, the installation highlighted Farfalla’s sculptural form – a chair that stood as a symbol, a story and a gesture. Each seat functioned as an independent piece yet collectively formed a dynamic, organic composition, evoking the flutter of wings in motion. Through Farfalla, Orlandini Design continued a legacy that merged craftsmanship with contemporary thinking, reaffirming Italian design’s enduring dialogue between past and future.
