DEOND
A sensorial pavilion that captured the essence of fragrance through light, form and material interplay.
Exsalted, sponsored by MANE, reimagined architectural lightness and complexity as a living sculpture – a story of folds, minerals and metamorphosis. Drawing inspiration from the intricate geometry of origami, the pavilion was composed of a continuous sequence of folded panels, with prismatic surfaces that unfolded like crystallised shells or salt minerals shaped by the sea, evoking both fragility and resilience. The fusion of folded geometry and salt-inspired forms created a structure that was simultaneously solid and delicate, casting dynamic shadows that engaged visitors with shifting light and space.
With over 96% of its structure fabricated through robotic 3D printing and recycled polymer, the pavilion demonstrated an exploration of material innovation and sustainable design. The result was a lightweight, intricate architecture that celebrated the intersection of natural mineral logic and computational geometry.
Conceived as a sensorial journey in dialogue with MANE’s perfumers, the pavilion merged structure and sensory experience, evoking forms that were simultaneously mineral, intricate and ephemeral.
About DEOND:
