A collaborative dome installation celebrating inclusion, creativity and empowerment through design.

The installation composed of interlocking hexagons and pentagons, symbolises a shared vision of inclusion and creativity. The hexagons represent six guiding principles — collaboration, creativity, inclusion, empowerment, innovation and unity; while the pentagons reflect the five key areas of disability considered in the design: physical, sensory, neurodiversity, intellectual and psychosocial.

Developed in collaboration with ImInclusive and Canadian University Dubai, the project merges education with lived experience to create a space that is both artistic and deeply human. Made from sustainable cardboard, the structure features tiles showcasing original artwork by People of Determination, turning design into a platform for accessibility and shared expression.

Visitors can also engage in inclusive workshops and interactive sessions. On 4 November from 3:00 to 4:00 PM, Dubai Holding Entertainment, ImInclusive and Canadian University Dubai host “How We Created a Space That’s Inclusive”, detailing the collaboration and co-design process. On 5 November, a keynote titled “Design as a Catalyst: Participatory Practices for Social Innovation” will be delivered by Massimo Imparato, Dean of the School of Architecture and Interior Design at Canadian University Dubai, alongside Radi Charafli, a People of Determination curator. Sign language interpretation sessions will also provide insight into the artistry and meaning behind the installation.
