DEOND x MANE
A sensorial pavilion that captures the essence of fragrance through light, form and material interplay.
Suspended like a mineral formation in space, the DEOND pavilion for MANE is conceived as a self-supporting architectural gesture that merges the ephemeral with the elemental. Its origami-like folds evoke the layered complexity of a fragrance composition, where base, heart and top notes converge in a spatial choreography of light and form.
Inspired by crystalline structures and tectonic movements, the pavilion appears as though carved from a single geode, its modular frame wrapped in translucent rice paper composite panels that diffuse and refract light. These delicate, paper-like skins recall both Japanese shoji and mineral membranes, creating an immersive, meditative atmosphere. The installation reflects MANE’s mastery in translating the most elusive elements of nature into a tangible sensory experience
