Explore the visual dialogue between Arabic and Latin letterforms in this hands-on workshop.
This workshop explores the visual dialogue between Arabic and Latin letterforms, focusing on rhythm, contrast, flow, modularity and cultural exchange through making rather than lecturing. Participants will deconstruct, recombine and invent hybrid alphabets using modular systems such as shapes, grids, stencils or cut letters. Embracing NCAD’s design strategy of being bold and curious, the session culminates in a co-designed specimen poster.
