‘Clay ceremony’ explored the very first techniques of clay shaping (the pinch method) to make clay pots, plates and cups
The Clay Ceremony is a celebration of the essence of the craft, delving into the foundational techniques of clay shaping, notably the ancient "pinch method." Participants had the opportunity to create clay pots, plates, and cups, imbuing them with a distinct, organic feel and a tactile connection to the material.
About the Artist:
Maryam El Attar is a self-taught Ceramic Artist and Illustrator. She obtained her bachelors degree from the American University of Sharjah and has further taken Ceramic Classes in Ceramic Studios in the UAE. She has started her artistic journey early on as a child and got into ceramic by a pure coincidence in 2019. Since then she has been on endless explorations with clay, pen and paper through her Ceramic brand @Trace_Creations to bring her ideas to life.
