With a focus emphasising on design for positive impact and offering new opportunities for the creative community, the upcoming 2020 edition of Dubai Design Week will present a revised format of its programme and elements consisting of both virtual as well as physical components that incorporate distancing measures.

One of those key components; the outdoor installations have always been laid out carefully throughout Dubai Design District (d3) for the duration of the festival serving as a core element of our yearly programme, gathering significant attention and interaction from visitors.

This year this popular component will be focused on delivering strong and positive messages inspired by functional and purposeful proposals. Creatives are encouraged to propose productions of concepts with a strong semi-permanent public space intervention theme, putting forward solutions for problematics related to the changes occurring in the urban environment today and the new challenges arising from social distancing.
