Families and visitors of all range of experience can engage with the region’s thriving design culture at Dubai Design District (d3) during Dubai Design Week this weekend, 13-14 November.

At the new outdoor Dubai Design Week Marketplace, visitors will be able to discover and shop a variety of products and crafts from over 70 creative entrepreneurs and small businesses, offering quality and original products, predominantly sourced and made in the UAE. From ceramicists and chocolate makers to camel leather embossers and bespoke lipstick makers, the market features Dubai’s best artisans and creative businesses.

A range of meaningful drop-in, hands-on workshops for families and children of ages 5+, will take place alongside the marketplace throughout the weekend, including activities such as Ghaf seed planting by Goumbook to 'Creative Construction' with Oli Oli and photography workshops with Gulf Photo Plus. Participation will be on a first-come-first-served basis.

There is also a fantastic array of design to engage with: explore concepts of our urban fabric with the open-air pavilion for this year's Abwab or get a glimpse how 50 of the region’s brightest young minds imagine our world in the future at the MENA Grad Show. Discover how we will live, work and play in a post-pandemic landscape at ‘The Shape of Things to Come' or explore our interconnectedness with Points in Common, an interactive installation by Montreal-based Studio Iregular that responds to smartphones to create fantastical digital art moments.

Weekend visitors can also explore the diversity of the UAE’s creative talent at the d3 Edit and UAE Designer Exhibition.
