Taking place 9-14 November 2020, Downtown Design will present a hybrid programme across physical and digital platforms.

An opportunity for design professionals, brands and enthusiasts to reconnect, gain inspiration, and navigate the new design landscape, the event will include a conceptual design exhibition, a digital fair and tailor-made physical brand experiences supported by an online talks programme.

Spotlighting progressive design thinking from the Middle East, Downtown Design’s exhibition ‘The Shape of Things to Come’ invites the region’s architects and interior designers to imagine how we will work, live and play in a post-pandemic world. From an open call, selected concepts will be presented as a multi-media exhibition during Dubai Design Week. Complementing the exhibition and exploring the new value system that has evolved as positive response to the crisis, Downtown Design’s acclaimed talks programme, The Forum, will be presented digitally.

Continuing to support the objectives of brands and buyers in these challenging times, Downtown Design will present a digital fair allowing design professionals and enthusiasts to experience the latest from leading international and regional brands.

Additionally, for brands looking to reconnect on the ground, Downtown Design together with Dubai Design Week will curate exclusive opportunities - from pop-up installations and capsule showcases, to creative collaborations – presented within the d3 Quarter across the entire duration of Dubai Design Week and supported by Downtown Design’s B2B programme.
