Yadawei Ceramic Studio LLC is Dubai’s home for handmade clay.

Born in Al Quoz, it began as a community studio where artists and learners shape everyday pieces with care, then grew into a small-batch label. The name “Yadawei” (Arabic for handmade) guides its process: wheel-thrown, high-fired stoneware with glazes inspired by the UAE’s desert and sea.

For the Marketplace, Yadawei is bringing functional, durable staples — espresso and latte cups, versatile bowls (dip, cereal, ramen), and dinner plates that mix and match as sets. For the workshops, the studio is offering three exciting sessions: wheel throwing, handbuilding, and bisque painting.

WORKSHOP: Pottery on the wheel, Painting on ceramic, Handbuilding

At Dubai Design District (d3), Yadawei Ceramic Studio partners with Al Jalila Art Centre to deliver a fun, hands-on ceramics sampler. Participants can choose either from hand-building, pottery on the wheel, or bisque painting - ideal for beginners and creatives alike. Under friendly instructor supervision, guests pinch, coil, and throw simple forms, then personalize pre-fired pieces with food-safe underglazes. Workshop is free but if you wish to fire and colour the piece it is additional charge AED50. Whether for team-building or personal discovery, the session balances learning and fun, celebrating the tactile joy of clay within d3’s vibrant arts community.
