The Social Souk by Skills3, where creativity serves as a common language — a bridge that connects people, cultures, creativity, sustainability, and purpose.

Born in Dubai, the initiative celebrates the region’s heritage through modern design and joyful community experiences.

At the pocket souk, guests can shop for handcrafted products made with love and intention by women from disadvantaged communities and countries in crisis. By choosing these handmade products, customers aren’t just making a purchase — they’re making a difference.

Attendees can also join workshops that combine traditional techniques with circularity, sustainable methods, and a generous dose of fun — open to anyone who loves to make, learn, and play. They can discover how creative technology can expand their creative horizons.

At the Marketplace, the Skills3 booth brings together creative technology and traditional crafts, showcasing how innovation and culture can thrive side by side.

WORKSHOP: Design Your Way

Get ready to make, play, and create at The Social Souk workshops! Designed for all skill levels, all you need to bring is your imagination — we’ll provide the rest. We use deadstock materials and fabric offcuts from our own projects, turning what might have gone to waste into something bold, beautiful, and totally you. Create on-trend bracelets from waste fabric and unwanted jewellery, personalise your own Sadu-covered notebook, or weave a few lines into our collaborative rug installation. How about trying your hand at making a braided telli bracelet or design a fabric-covered badge with our badge machine. Come join the making movement!
