Together for Waste Management: Beyond Binary Activation
Beyond Binary invited participants to move beyond the “keep or throw away” mindset and rethought their collective relationship with electronic waste. This activation explored how design, technology and community action could extend the lifespan of devices through repair, repurpose, resale and responsible recycling. By learning and creating together, participants were encouraged to reflect on how collective creativity could transform waste into potential. This lay on a crucial question about what systems of care and value might have emerged when society stopped discarding and started reimagining — together?
Date: Tuesday, November 4
Time: 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM

Together We Sense: A Living Lab by DIDI at the BMW Pavilion
As part of DIDI’s Dubai Design Week programme Together معاً, the BMW Pavilion became a living lab for DIDI’s Visual Computing course. Projects like ReCoding Movement and Seeing the Invisible turned the space into a collaborative testbed where students and visitors explored how movement, emotion and environmental data could shape perceptual and spatial experiences. In this immersive interactive environment, visitors observed, interacted and contributed, blurring the lines between learning, making and exhibiting.
