About the Artist

Jack B. Du, is an artist and educator in the Interactive Media program at New York University Abu Dhabi. He is interested in making art through the creative and experimental use of new media technologies, such as computer vision, robotics, and the web. His work emphasizes the creative process of exploration and experimentation. To that end, Jack often develops software and hardware tools to aid his creative process. He is particularly fond of creating art that requires a low level of precision, which results in artworks that are often deemed imperfect or sometimes ambiguous. Through his work, Jack constantly questions what art is and what it means to be an artist. Moreover, Jack's work explores his identity and existence in the past, the present, and the future, in literal and figurative, representational and abstract forms.
