Design, art and innovation are at the very core of Kohler Co., and we are honored to participate in the Dubai Design Week. Kohler is a 145-year-old company with presence on all continents, 37,000 associates, and strong operations in the Middle East. We are present in 9 countries in the region with our main office in Dubai, UAE.
Since our founding day, Kohler has had a dedication to contributing to a higher level of gracious living for all those who experience our products and services. We strive to live on the leading edge of design and technology in product and process. Kohler believes that good design is a language that crosses borders, and that good design draws inspiration from culture, art, and the very people it is created to serve and delight. Our design studios in the USA, London, Paris, Delhi and Shanghai merge incredible talents, vast experiences and rich backgrounds to create the design-forward products and solutions we are known for.
In our journey to great design, we have carried with us a dedication to the appreciation and enhancement of fine art. Our Arts/Industry program, in partnership with the John Michael Kohler Art Center, is a world-renowned experience that marries art and craftmanship within our factory. Over 500 resident artists have worked side-by-side with skilled craftsman to explore the mediums and manufacturing processes to discover the unique and beautiful. This program in turn inspired us to launch the Artist Editions collection, showcasing elements from various cultures, elaborate techniques and craftmanship that further embraces our passion for the arts.
In conjunction with Dubai Design Week, we are hosting 3 special events. Pecha Kucha where 20 slides shown only for 20 seconds each, challenge four speakers to present their experiences, ideas, thoughts in regard to the topic ‘Wanderlust’. Followed by the ‘All Things Connected’ KOHLER Design Forum in partnership with Monocle magazine. Dubai is one of the stops of this series of events this year, aside from London, Singapore, Toronto and Bangkok. In the final event, we are honored to be offering a Kohler Waste Lab workshop during these inspiring days to explore how we are transforming industrial waste into something meaningful.
We hope so see you at one of our events, 14 November.
