Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation
DIDI explores what remains human in an increasingly technology-driven world through exhibitions, talks, workshops and an interactive weaving installation inviting visitors to contribute to a collective textile artwork.
As technology becomes increasingly capable of generating, predicting, sensing and deciding, the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) invites visitors to consider what we choose to keep human. Through exhibitions, panel discussions, interactive installations and creative workshops, DIDI explores how feeling, memory, agency, connection and care shape our relationship with technology.
At the heart of the experience, In Our Hands, an interactive weaving installation in DIDI’s atrium, invites visitors to contribute to a collective textile artwork using upcycled fabric ribbons. As the artwork evolves throughout Dubai Design Week 2026, individual contributions come together in a shared expression of creativity, sustainability and human connection.
