Learn the basics of urban sketching and capture everyday city scenes through drawing.

This workshop will introduce participants to urban sketching, exploring how to observe the city and capture moments of everyday urban life. The session will cover the basics of urban sketching, followed by a hands-on exercise using references of storefronts and street scenes. Participants will learn techniques used by Nora to develop their illustrations and will leave with the confidence to continue urban sketching independently. No prior experience is required.

About Nora Zeid
Nora Zeid is an award-winning Egyptian illustrator based in Dubai. Her practice explores the region’s visual culture, with a focus on heritage spaces and their relationship with people. She has exhibited in Dubai and Cairo, and her comics have been published in Sharjah Art Foundation’s Corniche anthology.
