An interactive, multisensory table installation celebrating inclusive co-creation through artworks inspired by the UAE’s cultural and environmental identity.

A Seat at the Table brings together People of Determination (PoD) artists and university students in a collaborative design project celebrating diverse talents and perspectives. Presented by Dubai Holding Entertainment in collaboration with Canadian University Dubai (CUD), ImInclusive and Rumett, the project supports artists in translating their ideas, experiences and sensory perceptions into tangible artefacts through a shared process of artistic exploration and co-creation.

The result is an interactive, multisensory table installation featuring five atmospheres inspired by the cultural and environmental identity of the UAE: Desert at Dawn (sight), The Majlis (hearing), The Souk (smell), Oasis and Date Palm (touch) and Evening in Ramadan (taste). Through co-designed artefacts integrated into a layered geometric landscape, visitors can explore different ways of perceiving familiar environments and engage with the artworks beyond conventional visual observation.

A Seat at the Table celebrates the talents of the PoD community, demonstrating how inclusive co-creation can bring individual expressions together in a meaningful collective experience. It invites visitors to participate, interact and discover the richness of diverse abilities and perspectives.
