PROMPT/SHIFT is a hands-on workshop exploring how AI can support visual thinking, experimentation and creative direction. Using their own projects or ideas, participants will work with Claude to develop concepts and visual narratives through guided prompting and experimentation.

About Zinka Bejtic
Dr. Zinka Bejtic is Professor and Head of Art and Design at the American University of Sharjah. Her work explores AI’s impact on creative practice and design education, with a focus on creativity, visual thinking and human agency. She researches how AI can support experimentation, concept development and creative learning.

About Ali Matay
Prof. Ali Matay is an Assistant Professor of Art and Design at the American University of Sharjah, specialising in foundation design, multimedia and AI-driven filmmaking. With over 15 years of teaching experience, his research explores cinematic virtual reality, experimental filmmaking and design pedagogy.
