From fragmented geometries, openings, thresholds, and shattered cast materials, the space explores the boundary between destruction and reconstruction.
In Between What Was and What Will Be explores the space between destruction and reconstruction, asking what can grow from what remains. The installation is organised around fragmentation rather than enclosure, using discrete cast elements, broken geometries, openings, gaps and thresholds to create a space of transition.
Visitors are invited to explore and sit within the walls and thresholds rather than simply observe the structure from outside. The space offers a place to pause, talk and occupy the interval between what was and what will be, with conversation, rest and shared presence becoming forms of reconstruction.
The structure is intentionally caught mid-transformation, reflecting the idea that nothing is fully closed, finished or resolved. Rather than presenting destruction as a final state, the installation positions what remains as a raw material with potential for renewed purpose. Through its fragmented form and human occupation, the work reflects on resilience, memory and the possibility of building through and with what remains.
