A conundrum, a reflection, an experience, an Iceberg in the desert.

Amidst the desert's heat, an unexpected oasis emerges – icebergs providing refuge and a gathering place. In the last two decades, our planet has witnessed a staggering loss of 267 gigatonnes (Gt) of glacial mass annually, resulting in a 21% increase in sea levels. This ecological shift has triggered storms, erratic weather patterns, habitat loss, and more. Human-induced pollution is the primary culprit, a concern highlighted by the Tellurico design studio's desert icebergs.

Through this project, Tellurico repurposes over 500 kg of plastic, sourced from The Good Plastic Company. They illustrate a sustainable approach, encouraging environmental responsibility and underscoring the myriad ways humanity can reduce its impact on the planet. In the heart of the desert, these icebergs offer more than just a cool respite; they provide a powerful message about the consequences of our actions and the need for change.

Tellurico crafts iceberg sculptures from recycled plastic materials, using them as symbols of awareness, sustainability, and sculptural art.
