Bridging handicraft and technology, this workshop examined alternate color sources and processing.

At this workshop, participants looked at several colour options. Participants investigated the origins and preparation of several alternative colors, bridged traditional handicraft methods with modern technological advances. Plant-based dyes have a wide variety of colors because of the variety of pigments used in their production. These flaws result in a unique and unrepeatable hue due to the presence of unexpected pigments.

An award-winning architectural engineer and Hi-Tech designer, Batool Al-Rushdan that recently won the “Distributed Design Awards”.
