Creativity can carry an elusive meaning for many of us; to some, it is simply the ability to be “artistic”, to visualize feelings and thoughts in different mediums. To others, it covers a much more powerful range of applications and uses.

In this panel discussion, Maha Alkhalawi (EY) led a dynamic conversation with Christopher Batchelder (Bon Education), Faisal Al Hawi (Dubai Future Foundation) and Louise Lambert (Happiness Matters) where they explored the unexpected ways that creative problem-solving can enhance our work and our lives.

About the speakers

Maha Alkhalawi (EY)
An experienced multi-disciplinarian with over ten years in the creative industries, Maha Alkhalawi has a passion for branding and service design and a soft spot for Startups. She is a brand builder and an entrepreneur, a logical creative, a lover of curiosity. This has all led her to the industry she is in today: Corporate Innovation.

Christopher Batchelder (Bon Education)
Christopher Batchelder is a creative designer, conceptualist and learning experience curator. He draws from a vast collection of diverse interests to find inspiration for his learning and education designs. He has lived and worked in the Middle East for 18 years and has led creative multidisciplinary teams in the UAE to develop experiential STEM programs, cyber defense and computer learning workshops, entrepreneurship trainings, hospitality trainings, online virtual learning modules, hands­-on leadership and coaching programs and interactive courses for prison inmates, to name a few.

Faisal Al Hawi (Dubai Future Foundation)
Faisal Al Hawi is the Head of Accelerator and Incubators at the Dubai Future Foundation. With over 11 years of experience, he is responsible for creating a myriad of programs that connect different stakeholders, government and private, with innovative startups and companies from around the world to experiment with and deliver innovation and contribute to making Dubai the test bed for future ideas.

Louise Lambert (Happiness Matters)
Dr. Louise Lambert makes science actionable by applying positive psychological practice towards the attainment of greater wellbeing in organizations and schools alike. She has published several peer-reviewed publications, some of which have been featured in RAND Corporation and World Happiness Reports. She is the Editor of the Middle East Journal of Positive Psychology and author of the first regional textbook in positive psychology, as well as the resident podcast host for the Global Wellbeing Initiative, a partnership with Gallup.
