An exhibition by the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) invited visitors to discover the transience of time and boundlessness of space.

Immersing visitors in real-time transmission of the action of the robotic arm of the university’s Fabrication Lab, the exhibition presented a 7-axis robotic arm named Matilda.

Through the efforts of DIDI, Matilda can now conduct several different intricate tasks; from milling complex shapes, sketching on varying surfaces to constructing with local resources like sand and so much more.

The exhibition also featured the work of DIDI students from different years and cross-concentrations who are designing alternative futures, today.
