Marking a dramatic entrance to Dubai Design Week in d3, a walkway feature designed by Kristina Zanic Design Studio was created to tell a story on sustainability and earth preservation.

Inspired by the earth and its morphing atmosphere, the ‘Morphing Nature’ installation is all about human interaction to raise awareness while connecting with one another, while appreciating the beauty of mother nature.

Once a year, natural morphing patterns appear in the Chuckchi Sea after the ice has melted in the spring and the currents carry important contributions of nutrients, heat and biota, in the natural order of the Earth.

In line with Dubai Design Week’s 2021 themes and focal points, this feature made from full-body glass mosaic by Trend Group aims to raise the sustainability issue of the climate crisis in an abstract way, with an emphasis on the importance of our role in human nature.
