This 'barza' featured leading and emerging graphic designers, shedding light on graphic design content creation in the UAE.

Looking at the graphic design movement in the UAE, there has been a major shift in awareness of the culture locally and regionally. This barza session discussed the creation of graphic content in relation to cultural referencing along with accessibility and availability of resources for designers.

With the program being inspired by the traditional ‘Barza’ setting, the talks emphasized building connections through constant engagement between the audience and invited speakers, unlike the format of traditional panel discussions. For this talk the connection of engaging the audience and speakers was through an activity of a Barza roundtable.

Roundtable speakers:

Alanood Bukhammas, Graphic Design Instructor at Zayed University
Ayesha bin Haider, Graphic Designer
Lujain Abulfaraj, Creative Director at Twothirds and Founder of Akwan
Hala Al-Ani, Hadeyeh Badri and Riem Ibrahim, Founders of Mobius Design Studio
