This barza session discussed Sustainability and Innovative Design Applications in the UAE.

With the UAE leading the way into sustainable development regionally and internationally, this barza session of the ‘Meet the UAE Creatives’ programme focused on how architects and designers have been and are still impacting the movement within architecture, product design and other forms of design.

The round table was led by Sharjah-Based Architect Jumanah Rizk, Architect and founder of Mula Studio, Abdalla Almulla, Architect & Sustainability consultant May Barber, Architect & Product Designer at Tashkeel, Eman Shafiq and Interior Designer at Tashkeel, Khawla Al Balooshi addressed topics pertinent to the environment and our progress including; where and how will the younger generations of designers take this movement forward with the governmental strategic targets, such as ensuring that 25% of buildings are constructed out of 3D printing technology by the year 2030.
