Participants created their ideal fantastical city using an interactive board game.

The RIBA Gulf Chapter worked on an area that represents part of Dubai Design District (d3). There were a lot of different recycled materials supplied for children to explore and discover their artistic side. A team of architects and architecture students were present from schools such as Heriot Watt Dubai Campus and Abu Dhabi University to assist and encourage participants to think about the places they live in and how they can positively influence how they might be designed in the future. Most importantly, the workshop was to enable children to have fun making their ideal, fantastical city.

Each participant had a demonstration lasting 20 minutes and were given the opportunity to try out the various techniques of their choice using ink and recyclable materials.
