The Odd Piece showcased the new 'Lustre' collection by Bethan Gray at their Alserkal Avenue showroom, inviting visitors to meet with the designer while exploring the radiant collection which features generous use of brass.

The Odd Piece celebrated the launch of the 'Lustre' collection during Dubai Design Week 2019 with the designer Bethan Gray on-hand to meet with visitors. The collection brought together meticulously crafted brass metalware artfully designed with the use of marble. The generous use of brass evokes radiance and luminescence.

The Lustre collection family includes variously-sized dining tables, a coffee table and side tables that are comprised of spun brass pedestal's topped with the finest marble encased in solid brass. The marble tabletops are available in Carrara, Marquina, Guatemala and Salome marble with the option of having the brass Dhow pattern inlaid into the marble. The distinctive pedestal leg is inspired by the arches and gilded domes typical of Middle Eastern architecture – Gray wanted to capture the experience of exploring a new city and seeing the sunlight bounce off golden roofs.

Along with the launch of the Bethan Gray Lustre Collection, The ODD Piece showcased The Dhow Collection and The Shamsian Collection. The Shamsian collection is inspired by Bethan’s family heritage and extensive travels throughout the Middle East – from the sunlight across the castellations of the fort at Nizwa to the billowing sails of traditional Omani boats.
