This workshop explores solutions for an out-of-this-world colony on the Red Planet. Participants will learn about what humans need to be able to survive and create new civilizations in space.

Participants look at developing novel concepts of habitation on Mars, envisioning and creating sustainable settlement proposals. Participants learn about what humans need to be able to survive and create new civilizations in space, by researching and developing possible scenarios that integrate the sciences, architecture, fabrication and many other disciplines to provide solutions for an out-of-this-world colony on the Red Planet.

About Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI)

In collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and The New School’s Parsons School of Design, Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI) is a private, non-profit university, located at Dubai Design District (d3), accredited by the Ministry of Education in the UAE. With its first intake in 2018, DIDI is focused on nurturing, mentoring and creating the next generation of designers.
