o'de rose highlights the beauty of transforming plants and nature into art pieces, showcasing the work of two regional design teams that are passionate about the synergy between nature, form and function.
Increasingly, the boundaries between indoors and outdoors are blurring with Urban Gardens bringing the great outdoors into our homes. This ‘Botanical Oasis’ trend has influenced designers from around the world to incorporate nature into their sculptural and functional pieces.
For over a decade, o’ de rose has been a platform for innovative designers and unique product launches in Dubai that highlight talent from around the region, constantly on the lookout for the most innovative and forward thinking designers in the Middle East. This year, for Dubai Design Week, we present two amazing design teams who hail from the region, and who are passionate about the synergy between nature, form and function. In their hands, the simple house plant is elevated to an art form while embracing the multi-functionality necessary in today’s design climate.

About Borgi Bastormagi Studio
The Borgi Bastormagi collaborative came into being in 2017, when us friends Nada Borgi and Etienne Bastormagi were invited to participate in Milan’s Fuori Salone during Milan Design Week. Etienne’s artistic background and Nada’s interest in designing through narratives drafted the vision of BORGI|BASTORMAGI. Both living and working in Beirut, Nada and Etienne get their inspirations from their surroundings and daily life. Pairing tradition and modernity, their designs are influenced by everyone’s attempt to find their little moments of balance and harmony amidst the chaos of the city.
