Children explored Chinese culture in this interactive workshop where they learnt about the history and narrative behind Beijing Opera masks.

This workshop was an opportunity to explore Chinese culture through an interactive activity for children. Participants learnt about the history and narrative behind Beijing Opera masks. They were involved in an interactive session of design and exploration where their imagination can run wild and their curiosity can be fulfilled!

In this hour-long workshop, children got a glimpse into the meaning of colour, shapes & expressions behind Beijing Opera masks. All needed materials were supplied for this fun-filled activity. The children were able to develop their ability to express and immerse their senses in a hands-on exercise that develops their artistic skills.

Recommended for ages 8-13.

About Tala Alnounou

Tala Alnounou is Head of Marketing for MENA region at LWK +PARTNERS. She is an experienced design professional, art enthusiast and passionate storyteller via different mediums with over 8 years in the creative industries. She is continuously involved in a number of published researches related to her interior design and art background. Throughout her career, she explored various aspects of the industry including Design, Education and Management. To fulfil her teaching passion, she regularly holds a number of workshops with various art-related topics for children between age 6 – 14 including children with special needs.
Her design works were recognized locally through various exhibitions and internationally at Milan SaloneSatellite 2012. She is an active member of the design and art community within the UAE participating in various initiatives.
