Visitors learnt about the importance of architecture in a director's vision by designing their own movie scene, where they created the characters, dialogue, and most importantly the architecture or the space in which the scene will take place.

Architecture in cinema are imaginary or realistic realms that mimic features, and defy rules of real built environments and take us through a journey of feelings and excitement. Batman wouldn’t be as dark and mysterious if it weren’t for Gotham’s dark alleys and gothic towers. Architecture is a hero in its own right and it’s a means of translating the director’s vision to the audience; this vision is only perceived when it acquires enough details and design, then it begins to feel real and alive.

Participants were required to design a movie scene, where they created the characters, dialogue, and most importantly the architecture or the space in which this scene will take place. This can be done on laptops or using craft materials.

Reccomended for ages

Fees: 100 AED
