Panel: Architectural Education - From the Future’s Perspective
How will architectural education adapt to incorporate the hyper-evolution of cities, and will students be taught to predict the future or define it?

George Katodrytis is an architect involved in practice, teaching and research. He is currently Head of the Department of Architecture and Interior Design at the American University of Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates. He built a number of projects in Europe and the Middle East as well as published widely on contemporary architecture, urbanism, cultural theory and digital media.

Adrian Lahoud is Dean of the School of Architecture at the Royal College of Art. Prior to his current role, he was director of the MA programme at the Centre for Research Architecture, Goldsmiths and a research fellow in the Forensic Architecture ERC-funded project; studio master in the Projective Cities MPhil in Architecture and Urban Design at the Architectural Association; and director of the MArch Urban Design at the Bartlett, University College London. In 2018 he was appointed Curator of the Sharjah Architecture Triennial.

Laura Lee is a registered architect and Professor of Architecture most notably at Carnegie Mellon University where she served as Head of the School. Laura is an international voice for integrated design education, policy, practice as well as research and innovation. Her work focuses on the development and implementation of collaborative programs between the academy, government, industry and the profession.
