Designers and artists showcase new concepts, solutions and creative approaches to smart design

O concept store presents work by a selection of designers and artists that demonstrates new creative aspects of design beyond the purely aesthetic, and shows how design can improve our daily lives and support businesses.

Art and design lovers, industry magazine titles and TV channels are invited to discover this enlightening exhibition of amazing designers who will be promoted equally.

O concept store will present work by designer Roberto Bartolomucci, and multi-disciplinary design agency Kal Design Co, alongside the following:

Ayesha Bin Khediya is an emerging Emirati artist with a Bachelors of Fine Arts specializing in Visual Art from Zayed University, Dubai. Her interests include sculpture, photography and digital video, and most her work focuses on distortion as a representational element. Ayesha explores the functionality of domestic objects through artwork that focuses on process, repetition, sound and transformation. She developed the exhibition Here, There and Everywhere at the Sikka Art fair in Dubai in 2017, and has exhibited at UAE Women in Art at Zayed University campus; and House of Bazaar and ShowCACE: I Remember an Endless Space at Al Serkal Avenue in Dubai.

Advanced Imaging System (AIS), created in 2012 by Nimer Hussein, started out specialising in touch screens and grew to become a leading office automation solutions provider in the UAE. In 2015, AIS launched Smart Presence and became an industry leader in after-sales service and smart solutions support.

Designers Stephan Boltz and Valentin Hartmann met at the MÖFA (School for Furniture Design) in Cologne whilst studying handicraft and visual communications, and founded Bordbar design which has been remodelling authentic airplane trolleys into design objects since 2006.

Cecilia Setterdahl creates beautiful, hand-knotted carpets using her own original geometric paintings. She and her husband have founded Carpets CC in Dubai Design District (d3).
