This is the year of Matthew McCormick. It might seem that the Vancouver-based lighting designer has suddenly erupted on the scene, but it has taken him years of refining his design philosophy to win Rosanna Orlandi’s stamp of approval, amongst other accolades.
Speaking for the first time in the Middle East, the award-winning designer talks about how a blowtorch and a passion for hand tools redefined his trajectory.
