The Audi Innovation Talks is a daily programme of conversations with experts exploring the future potential of technology and innovation.

Riyad Joucka is an Architect, Entrepreneur and Researcher, based in Dubai. In 2015, he founded the ‘Middle East Architectural Network’ MEAN*; an Innovative Architecture Practice, the synergistic counterpart to ‘Middle East Architecture Laboratory’ MEAL*; An Experimental Design Repository. Two symbiotic organizations aimed at amalgamating material research with computational design solutions.

Riyad has gained professional experience in the Middle East and Asia as well as North America. He worked in New York and Hong Kong from 2012- 2017 at the intersection of academia and practice, on complex structures, facades and building technologies, with a focused interest in design that is at the junction of technology, material research, and computation.

Riyad is particulary interested in design that is at the intersection of material research and computation. He earned his Master of Architecture (MArch, Distinction) at the Emergent Technologies & Design program at the AA School of Architecture in London.

The talks provide experts with an intimate setting to engage with audiences in direct q&a and are hosted every evening throughout Dubai Design Week within the Audi Innovation Hub; a unique space by Audi Middle East, dedicated to innovation and designed by Middle East Architecture Network (MEAN*).
