Taking a look at traditional materials and design methodologies, Middle East Design Now! portrays designers and artists from a variety of creative fields and through different mediums, many of whom are utilising these traditional methods, material snd motifs in modern day context, understanding how memory, DNA or real, plays a part in the creation of contemporary artefacts and graphics.

Curated by Suzanne Trocme, the nomadic exhibition aims to showcase Middle East design to the world and was first held at this year’s London Design Festival as part of Designjunction, hosting 18 designers from across the region including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Jordan, Egypt, Tunisia and Morocco.

For the second edition, held at d3, Middle East Design Now! will see additional pieces from designer both here in the UAE and further afield.
