From the Ground is a UAE-founded pantry brand bringing Middle Eastern heritage ingredients onto the modern table.
Started by Meral Jibouri, a plant-based recipe developer, holistic nutritionist and winner of Chopped Arabia Season 3, she has cooked with dates for years but found every form either too dominant or too impractical for everyday use.
Its first product, Golden Date Syrup, is made from one ingredient: dates. Lighter and more balanced than traditional date syrup, it disappears into coffee, matcha, yoghurt, porridge and baking rather than taking over the flavour. From the Ground will offer Golden Date Syrup by the bottle, with tastings across sweet and savoury pairings.
