Posters are a unique form of visual communication for sharing information, human thoughts, response to local and global issues, and promoting products or services. The Emirates International Poster Festival (EIPF) is the first-of-its-kind creative platform in the MENA region developed to showcase and celebrate contemporary poster design from around the world. This is an initiative of the Cultural and Scientific Association (NADWA) in Dubai to expand creative expression and to promote graphic design practice and creative thinking in the MENA region. The first EIPF, curated by Dr. Najat Makki and Prof. Arafat Al-Naim, brings together the work of leading designers from around the world to celebrate “The Year of Tolerance” and share the values of tolerance, coexistence and openness.

About The Culture and Science Association (NADWA)

The Culture and Science Association (NADWA) is a scientific cultural institution established in 1987 to promote culture, science and arts in the United Arab Emirates. Since its inception, NADWA has been supporting and stimulating cultural, scientific and creative movements. Moreover, it has developed and elevated through the organization of a wide variety events and activities that publicize achievements within the UAE and Arab region, as well as by the promotion of cultural exchange with other nations.
