The Dubai Design Week Marketplace was a new outdoor retail initiative and a key component of the largest creative festival in the Middle East.

Held in Dubai Design District (d3) during the weekend of 13 - 14 November, over 70 invited vendors presented some of Dubai’s best artisans, entrepreneurs and small businesses, offering quality and original products, predominantly sourced and made in the UAE. From chocolate makers to ceramicists the Marketplace promoted the value of craftsmanship while offering a unique selection of experiences such as making bespoke lipstick and embossing camel leather accessories.

Alongside the retailers, there was a wide range of meaningful activities for the family from seed planting by Goumbook to Creative Construction with Oli Oli and photography workshops with Gulf Photo Plus. Places were all offered on a first come first served basis and were either free to take part or entailed a minor charge. Find the full list here.

Set within d3’s established and vibrant food scene that includes some of Dubai’s best cafes and restaurants, the Marketplace also hosted a range of food pop-ups. Throughout the day and evening, visitors enjoyed everything from smoked meats to traditional Palestinian flatbreads and take away organic fruit and vegetables picked that morning from the farm.

The Dubai Design Week Marketplace took place outdoors and adhered to all safety guidelines.
