The Dubai Design Week Marketplace, a weekend long, outdoor, retail experience returns to Dubai Design District (d3) for a second edition from 12-13 November.

The Marketplace brings together the very best of the city’s creatives, artisans and small businesses in a curated experience where visitors can discover high quality, handcrafted, unique goods as well as sustainable and responsibly sourced products and delicious food offerings.

After the successful inaugural edition in 2020 (97% of all participants rate their experience as excellent or good and over 30,000 visitors attended) the Marketplace this year will present a more varied experience for everyone, with new participants joining along with a curated selection to support designers and producers working in Beirut.

Applications are now open to participate and we are seeking out predominantly, but not exclusively, those who create unique, handcrafted pieces, sourced and made locally as well as all those in the creative community who celebrate quality and who work in the fields of food, fashion, beauty, art, design, or homeware. Brands with a thoughtful, eco edge will also take precedence and Dubai Culture & Arts Authority will be offering grants in support of locally based creatives participating in their first year.

In addition to the market experience, a diverse range of interactive activities for adults and children will be also offered and run throughout the weekend including pottery, planting and painting. If you have any workshop or activity ideas then please do get in touch.
